  1. At first this looked like few parts with wrong proportions (one is too big, another is too small etc) connected together. Best of all, those parts aren’t even related to eachother, so it would be silly to connect them.

    Atleast before finding out what that is, this thing seems like hard enough to be recognised (unlike the thing in last week’s contest)

  5. I wholeheartedly agree with you, davek. I remember many times having to adjust these only to find out that the one part you were trying to adjust was actually worn out. I still have the assembly this goes in. Weekend project, you know…

  10. This one wasn’t even a challenge to find where the picture came from… I agree; this one will be harder for the kids out there.


  11. Hey now, not all kids have problems knowing what this is. I figured it out within about 10 seconds. Sure it’s probably more than twice as old as me, but that doesn’t mean anything.

    thats pretty good, mfr was easy. I would only guess as to the application as im not a fan of that, “ahem” , product produced except for 1 model.


  13. I’m not under 25(27) but having worked with these since I was 13 I agree that it was easy. All I have to say about this one is that points suck.


  14. I’m using size as a generic description. any more might possibly give it away. Besides it probably would have been used on multiple ‘sizes’ in any given year.


  15. having woked with them all my life I recognized it instanly but I Thought most people would figure it out easily

  18. The mystery item can be a real pain , I always liked the ones that use a mechanical you know what verses the one in this pic .
