I would love to have a makerbot.
It’s a pitty I can’t afford one as a student.
Nor can I afford a pandora handheld.
But hey, at least i’ve got an HD2.

This is the next thing i’m getting. I already do 3D modeling at work so this would be cool to print out some of the stuff we make.

The HD2 is very good, whit HTC’s sense it’s just so nice to use it. Aldo there are some gliches sometimes, some say its windows mobile, some say its HTC’s sense, but i’m just waiting for android to be ported, and now the Acer A1 is out which has basically the same hardware, it is going to be done.

That blows me away! I can think of a million uses for that thing. If you didn’t watch the video above, you gotta see it!! It would be cool if it could lay metals and wires within the casting, thus creating custom chip boards for new products and experimental electronics. This could be big!

$750 – build it yourself, however I don’t think you need to do any SMT soldering.

It’s cool, however he makes out that its a new thing. Reprap http://www.reprap.org have been around for years, its has a huge international community behind it and all the instructions schematics and templates are online for free. It’s a little more expensive but can build much bigger models with much greater detail. The thing I like is once you’ve build one it can build the parts for another one.
