When I think of USB and batteries I automatically think of a device that uses a battery to make 5 Volts and outputs it using a USB jack. Moixa is doing the opposite, it uses a standard USB port to charge batteries. Best of all the plug is built into the battery.

Yeah, but a crappy piece of kit wouldn’t drum up much excitement. That’s actually a fair idea, but I’d still prefer my 15 minute rechargables. Those are GREAT!

If this is for real, this is a pretty good idea. It’ll probably fall through the cracks though, or it’ll be seen as something useless like a LED USB accessory (I own one thinking it would be useful, but I havn’t found an application for it) and never get used.

I know what you mean, some of those USB devices are quite stupid. I can see uses for this where it may come in handy. For example they could be used in an office for devices that get quite a bit of use such as pocket voice recorders used in meetings. This way it could be charged once a week without the need for using disposable batteries or having a separate desk charger.
