  1. Wow, do all petrol stations have extinguishers like this one?
That would shock the hell out of me, I would probably have frozen on the spot for a few seconds.
I hope that stuff isn’t carcinogenic, and I’m sure the garage owners would be facing a minimum of a clean-up court claim from those drivers. Worst case could be bodily damages / shock claims.

  2. why the he** does think you need to sue people over every f**king little thing, go get a car was and a shower and accept that accidents happen!

  3. I saw this the other day but it said some “stupid girl” did it. I think its funny as hell and yes most gas stations have this. Look for a big red button next time you fill up your tank.

  4. hahhahhahahhahah, that prob scare the shit out of them,,, they prob think they were dead, one min filling up the tank the next there are clouds all over them,,,hahhahahha

  5. That’s no fun. Last I heard, many/most fire retardants are carcinogenic. I’d say that’s viable grounds for a lawsuit.

  6. What is the guy on the right doing? He seems to be looking for something/trying to figure something out. Maybe he pushed the fire button by mistake! He wont try that again if it was him lol.

  7. In the USA the ‘alarm’ button shuts off the pumps–not dumping any sort of fire extinguisher substance on you.

Shutting off the pumps would effectively let only the gas that is in the lines burn. Maybe for a couple of minuets. Not hours and/or days like the fuel inside the tanks would take to burn off.

Because, if THIS was the result of every single time the button was pushed–you would hear about kids pushing these all the time. I guarantee it. It’s way too ‘cool’ for it not to happen. Fine/jailtime or not, it would happen a lot more.

  8. Hacked gadgets – DIY Tech Blog

Well that one seems to be DIY indeed.

  9. I haven’t seen any of these types of fire suppression systems at our gas stations here in Canada either.

  10. the time stay is labeled GMT -4:00, so it really must be Canada

  11. This NOT funny. Do you realize how lucky those guys are they didn’t die?

As part of a fire training class I put out a fire using a dry extinquisher. Unfortunately, The wind shifted just as I depressed the trigger and blew a good portion of that crap right at me.

All I remember for the next 2 hours is an emt asking my name and not being able to breath.

That crap is NOT something to laugh about!
