Guess the Price Contest

 

We are going to try a new contest idea that I think should be lots of fun. Let me know what you think of the contest idea. Above is an ad that is quite old, the source and date will not be given to add to the challenge. This contest will run for one week (Jan 17 – Jan 22, 2009) . Ending time is based on central standard time. To enter, leave a comment with your best guess of the item price.

If you know the source or date of the ad please do not provide it in the comments.

The winner will the guess that is the closest to the actual price, if there is more than one correct guess a random selection will be used to decide on which of the correct guesses will win.

  67. @Rac: I do realize money was worth more then (i.e. there was such a thing as penny candy).. I guess it’s just a strange concept, and also that modern-day welders are well in the triple/quadruple digits.
