Check out this guy Inline Skating on a Roller Coaster. What some people will do for fun!!! There used to be a video up on Youtube but it got pulled. If anyone knows of a new video location please post it in the comments.
UPDATE. Thanks to HUB for finding a new version of the video. Not sure how long it will stay up…
"An adrenaline junkie has taken in-line skating to new heights and set a new world record after racing down a roller coaster at speeds of 56mph. Dirk Auer decided to go where no sane man or woman had gone before and skated down an 860 metre track in just over a minute. Wearing specially designed in-line skates, the German made the attempt on the Mammoth roller coaster at the Trips Drill theme park in Stuttgart."

That must be so awesome. Where do I sign up? But I want one with a loop or some spirals in the track. This would work: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.joyrides.com/sfog/photos/ninja.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.joyrides.com/sfog/ninja.htm&usg=__zgJsjTJdvFXM5oWFb8fRjAu47fg=&h=512&w=1081&sz=128&hl=en&start=12&um=1&tbnid=nRycgArkJBIuaM:&tbnh=71&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dsix%2Bflags%2Broller%2Bcoasters%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1

and he had this pulled?!! maybe because he looks so lame! That many cuts mean this looser has to be pushed around the track….
What a yawn. I will see more damage done when my granny cuts her toe nails.

why do I get the feeling that we will read about this guy getting killed in the near future?

“That many cuts mean this looser has to be pushed around the track….”
Well probably, since he lacks the necessary weight to be propelled by the natural ebb and flow of the track. It would have to be redesigned to be much smaller in length, and have precisely positioned hills, so that he would only need the initial lift to the top of the first hill. Much like a typical coaster.
I still say I’d love to give it a go!

I wonder if he thought about tying a water ski rope to the back of the train so he could do the whole track.

This kind of reminds me of the “Devil’s Shingles” used on the Mount Washington Cog railway during it’s construction. One guy set a record on that going the whole 3 miles from the top to the bottom in 2 and a half minutes. Check the link for pictures http://www.cog-railway.com/devils.htm

“Well probably, since he lacks the necessary weight to be propelled by the natural ebb and flow of the track” Oh I understood that…but it was the hype! ooooooooo fast ooooooooooooo dangerous ok sometimes yes on both points… but just looking at the over engineered skates (inline? in his dreams! lol) And you have to think that somewhere someone should have said “Hey, you know you’re not heavy enough to make it around…..” It was just so funny to see all the equipment and the protective gear and he is doing maybe 15mph and comes to a slow stop and just before they cut he starts to roll backwards…precious! On the fast stuff was seriously nuts but the balance is a severe waste of time.

On balance I would guess that for all the hype he finally noticed how much of a helmet head he really is in this vid and pulled it to preserve what little self respect he still had

The video doesn’t work anymore.
