Dino-Lite Digital Microscope at CES 2011

The guys from BigC had a booth setup at the Consumer Electronic Show 2011. I purchased a microscope similar to some one that they sell. My intention was to use it for circuit board inspection, the one I purchased works OK but the color of the image is not very accurate. These ones that BigC had on display were all very bright, vibrant and clear! Next time I purchase a

Windoro - Robotic Window Cleaning

Are you on the 50th floor and hate hanging out your window to clean the outside of your windows? Have a look at the Windoro from Ilshim Global. It comes in two halves, one goes on the outside and one on the inside. Pads on the robot spin to clean the glass. This works in a similar way to the Roomba to automatically clean the entire surface of the glass.

Alan Yates had this issue when he

Dancing Robots at the Vstore booth at CES 2011

The Vstone/Kumotek booth at CES 2011 was lots of fun with their dancing robots entertaining the crowd. The dancing robots are being controlled using a video game like remote control. All of the actions are being manipulated using servo motors. They had a bunch of other cool things on display like the line following cars.

Print PCB Layouts using Wax

Jeffrey Gough from Warranty Void if Removed wanted to develop a method of printing circuit boards which was better than the current ways that a home hobbyist has available to them. He mentions the various current methods that are commonly used which are permanent marker, toner transfer, photolithography, isolation milling, UV photoplotting, laser engraving and inkjet. For his method he reverse engineered how an inkjet printer cartridge worked and made
