If you have some items that you would like to make some vacuum formed molds of and have access to a 3D printer this Vacuum Former project might be for you. All you need to do is place your item in the form. The plastic form material is heated then dropped over the item to be molded and a high power vacuum cleaner is used to suck the plastic down to conform to the item. Once you have the plastic form you can now pour some casting material into the mold. This can be plaster, chocolate, rubber, etc.
