The Pnuematic Rocket Man built by Rodger Cleye used a fire extinguisher fill of air to launch the rocket man high in the air. A camera on the man captures the view!
“The pressure is gated by a solenoid actuated sprinkler valve. The valve solenoid is switched through an N- FET that is given a 500mS pulse from the AVR microcontroller. The sprinkler valve output is adapted down to a 1/2 inch pipe increasing the pressure from the 1″ output feed of the valve. A capped 3/4 inch pipe in Boba’s spine slides over the 1/2 in blaster pipe forming a piston.”
