Target shooting is fun but there are just so many times you can walk back and forth setting up targets to shoot. With a bit of technology Making Stuff built a system called Robo-Target that automates the process and is controlled remotely. I think the only thing it needs now is a hit detection method, not sure what the best method of doing this is though. A piezo detection device on each target? Movement detection? All of these would have issues with false detection since there would be quite a bit of activity from wind, direct hit on the structure etc.
