It has an Arduino for a brain and PING sensors for the eyes.  “Software is quite straight forward, a giant state machine, that takes input from the sensor, every now and then. halfbug has 5 different movements, one regular forward movement, one turn (left and right) and one turn hard (left and right). Well Steve is using the bike power to generate thousands of volts and spark gap to warn people that a bike is coming. It has the added benefit of keeping people from wandering too close to the front of the bike! “Want to make your bike

Capacitive Touch LED Table

This Capacitive Touch LED Table by laura.wagoner.9 uses an arduino to drive a neo pixel strip and uses the capacitive touch library to allow the aluminum trim to become a mode switch. The code is available to you can build your own if you like. She cut a hole in the top of an old table and mounted the electronics under glass. Looks great and the effects are nice.

Digital Display Updates the Look of Old Power Supply

xrunner had an old Heath power supply. He changed out the original capacitors to some larger Nichicon units. That would be been enough but the addition of some inexpensive digital displays will make this unit look a bit more modern. Nice inexpensive upgrade but it will ensure this power supply will be usable for many years to come.  Via: EEVBlog Forum

We need to see this technology applied to dragsters, say goodbye to wheel slip.  Via: TheVerge  “The super-strong bots – built by mechanical engineers at Stanford University in California – will be presented next month at the International Conference

Vacuum System for Deposition

Jerry Biehler is working on a Vacuum System for Deposition. It was removed from a university and needed quite a bit of work. Looks like there is still a lot of things to be done but it is sure a nice looking piece of equipment! “So, some of the specs: • 26″ Stainless bell jar, appears to be a Cha. The lower ring looks to have been added

DIY Fuel Injector Tester

Fuel injectors are in all modern vehicles but you have probably not played with one since it is not a common replacement item. Jeremy Lang demonstrates his Fuel Injector Test system and shows off how an injector works. If you are interested in building your own Jeremy has made the build details available here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lw8dl8vt7igtgxh/AADgvF_Ska-24dXnZktGyuZPa?dl=0).
