The Quadski looks like a blast, this is the ultimate toy!
“Quadski is the third demonstration of Gibbs’ HSA technology following the successes of the Aquada and the Humdinga. It is capable of travelling up to 50 mph (72 kph) on land and water and makes the transition at the flick of a switch.
Commenting on the launch of the Quadski prototype, Alan Gibbs, the founder of UK based Gibbs Technologies Ltd. said, “Quadski is both exciting and practical with a multitude of usesâ€.
I know consumers will love the fun of driving a Quadski on land one minute and then head straight into the sea or river the next. But there is a very serious side to Quadski as well: emergency services and aid workers will be able to reach areas and people no two or four wheel drive vehicle could reach.â€

Of course, what is the cost? what are performance specs/features available?
Are there military, police and rescue versions?
What about the enclosed airconditioned version?
Like what DanB said, could you design it for a few more inches of ground clearance?

More ground clearance is needed, independent 4 wheel drive, retractable/removeable top which can be stored onboard, some storage for goodies.

If you want more ground clearance, 4×4, hard top, and storage etc…they make a hummer version…living in hawaii and being a poor surfer, Im more interested in just getting out in the water and back to land as cheap, easy and cool as possible. Save the beer coolers and air conditioned compartments for the rich executive and banker types.
