Light Bulb in Microwave

Jusk like putting a CD in a microwave, light bulbs are also fun. There are quite a few good videos of this effect on the net, here is another good bulb explosion.

“I guess the last Light Bulb ROBODINNER was not big enough for Roborobot DXL-2000 RS Series 5 Robot so he came back for seconds and decided to do the 250watt 220Volt commercial grade beast fresh out of the box!!!!!!!!! I guarantee you this is the biggest bulb ever microwaved measuring in at over 10″ long by 6″ in diameter that glowed as bright as the sun with an explosive blast 10 times as loud as a normal explosive bulb. The room smelled so electronic afterwards it would make any Robot drool. !!!WARNING!!!This video is not for the faint of heart!”

  1. Ohh damn, that was a nice hacked one 🙂

    I loved the last 10 seconds 🙂

  2. Hey guys, is it safe to try this at home? It won’t kill my microwave oven right?

  3. If you have to ask, it probably means you should be doing it.

  4. Not sure if I would do it with a microwave that I needed to cook meals, but if I were going to throw one out you can bet it would be blowing lots of stuff up. 🙂

It does look like most people that were blowing up bulbs were using the one in their kitchen but who knows if any of them burnt out…

  5. Oh well.. We can always remove the glass of a coated lamp and place a small LED + battery in there..

  6. Never thought about that… I wonder if an LED would light up? It all seems sorta like magic!

  7. Straighten a paper clip or stripped pieces of wire. Form a C and leave about an inch so you have sort of a Commodore C64 logo C= Now bend the ends and 90 degrees so the C part makes a stand and the = part sticks up. Now bend the very top end of the = so you have two points towards each other. Set that puppy off. It will arc at the points. Depending on the metal you can get various colors.

  8. next time put the light bulb in a glass of water
