Tracking fingers with the Wii Remote

The Wii Remote has an infrared camera in the front that is normally watching for the infrared LEDs that are mounted in the sensor bar. This camera is actually quite sensitive and can be used for some cool things! Jcl5m has come up with a method that uses reflected IR light from small reflectors to provide the Minority Report style interaction.

  3. Pretty cool! I have liked it very much. But I have appreciated that the pointers in the TV are inverted, I mean, when you made to disappear your left hand finger was the right point in the image which disappeared. I think It would be more appropriated to invert in horizontal, don’t you think so?

    Great job really.

    bye

  5. what the need hardware to make that sensor…..????

  6. Hi Dox,

You need a Wiimote, a IR light source, a computer and some reflective squares.
