Above and below are 4 items, the source and date will not be given to add to the challenge. This contest will run for one week (May 1 – May 7, 2009) . Ending time is based on central standard time. To enter, leave a comment with your best guess at the total price of the items.


If you know the source or date of the ad please do not provide it in the comments.

The winner will be the guess that is the closest to the actual total price, if there is more than one correct guess a random selection will be used to decide on which of the correct guesses will win.

    It is a very cool motor but just so you know it’s part of the 4 items that needs to add up.

  16. For an accurate answer I need to know if inflation shall be taken into account. In the meantime here is my provisory answer : $71.45.

    The price that will be used is the price as I found it. So even if the same ad was used for 10 years with different prices I would have selected a specific price from one instance of the ad. Also there may be many companies that sell the exact motor shown however the price that will be used will be the one where I gathered the image and price from. This will hopefully add a level of uncertainty to the contest that was not there with the previous attempts at this contest.
