Jet Car

The Jet Car looks like a cool futuristic car that you can buy today. Now if I only had an extra $100 thousand laying around…

Video after the jump.

“For sporty driver we also offer two Sport versions. You can choose between Jetcar Sport I with an engine power of 45 KW (62 PS) and the Jetcar Sport II with an engine power of 60 KW (82 PS). Both are driven by a 3-cylinder gasoline motor. The design of the internal space will communicate the experience of flying because of an expanded front shield as well as edgewise and backwardly extended side shields. In addition, the occupants are seated in spacious and ergonomically designed seats. All instruments are situated within the field of view of the driver, providing for optimal visual and sensory contact.”

  1. Well, there is another car with a very low fuel consumption of only 1.5 litres / 100 km very near to be mass produced:

    http://www.loremo.com/design_en.php

Mass production will begin in 2009 and the costs for one car are far less than $100 thousand…

  2. What for an ugly car.

I know that we Sauerkrauts 🙂 sometimes are a little bit crazy but that one kills all. “Take a Smart(TM), build another enclosure and sell this crap for 50.000 Euros”.. That’s Marketing

  3. The cars make it possible to move more quickly, but they consume gasoline. You thus should also buy gasoline in a garage (this one is able to produce some). Each crossed box consumes a unit of gasoline. When the car does not have any more gasoline in its tank, it does not function any more and you cannot any more move you (you must reload it with gasoline while clicking on the car and while passing the adequate order).
however i think it should be easily turn to hybrid technology more specifically electric cars…which will make it more attaractive..
now come to the cooling system of this jet car….
An apparent difference between the marine engines and of vehicle is the system of cooling. Instead of using a radiator, a marine engine employs surrounding water to order the temperature. Flows of water by the engine or a closed system which includes a chemical coolant. …however its cooling system is not accurately defined….
now about design…its fantastic & different ………..littleproblem on head shade which seems the car unbalance…

  4. Well that looks like one impractical car. “Jet Car”? There’s no jet engine in it so thats false advertising for a start. 2 seats, meh!
I’d still prefer my 95 Toyota Camry on LPG. On ULP, 10Km/L @ 95KW, on LPG, 7Km/L. And the car weighs 1300Kilos.
I’ve got a 60L tank which cost me $25AUD to fill. Thats approx 12EU.
This car won’t make it to market. Nice thought but way too impracticle.

  5. Why is it when they make an innovative car they always make them ugly?

  6. Somebody call Leno. He’ll want one of these.

  7. So wait, you design a car that is supposed to evoke inference to a jet fighter…and give it a weak engine????

    Lame.
