This is definitely not going be UL listed but if you need a welder on the cheap this is one way to go.

This has some promise! As a welder (by trade) I have seen some weird welders. Some that guys are using in Africa are nothing more that large versions of this made from scavenged parts.

Not a bad idea. I’m gonna add this to my list of projects to do in the future. I am a sucker for home made welders. This one seems alot more complex though…plus not as long lasting.

Even though Dad spent 40+ years in the welding biz,I never learned to do it myself. Since I am short of funds at the moment I am lookin for a few microwave ovens to recycle. I’ll make sure I post the results.
