Powerful Electric Bike – 2008 Mongoose

DoctorBass showed is that he can jump start his car using a powerful battery pack that can fit in the palm of your hand. He is also into building Powerful Electric Bikes. This is one impressive battery pack with some wheels bolted to them. 🙂 Have a look at the battery pack specs below!

"432 Sony 18650V (known as Konion).used in Makita, Bionx an, 3.75 Volt, Lithium-Ion
2.21 Kilowatt-hour LiMnO2
I built this pack myself with engineering knowledge for thermal management and safety protections.
I used many used 18V 3Ah LXT power tools battery pack of Makita.
These cells are 1600mAh each and are mounted in 24s 18p groups.
The total pack give 100.8V fully charged and 24Ah.

  1. Maybe will buy it if the style refined, this can reduces global warming.

  2. Make it an electric motorbike instead of an electric bike (i.e. remove the pedals) and I bet it’d sell really well.

  3. But The pedals would be good backup if they are still functional, in case of power failure or battery goes dead.

  4. The more I see those electric bikes, the I keep thinking that they anti green bikes (and for lazy “thumbs up” guys)…

  5. Neat. I think this is a great invention. These could easily over take the popularity of the little Chinese scooters everyone is buying. I would trade in mine at least.

  6. That’s pretty sick, ever thought about using capacitors? Also, keeping the pedals is a good idea, because you could attach them to a motor and charge the bike up while on a down slope, or possibly just peddle while the bike is going, but not have the pedals attached to the wheels.

  7. Wow, you look so g4y !

  8. Make it look good and change its name and it might sell. It doesn’t need a speedometer; it’s a bike.
