Who says that everything needs to be done using microcontrollers? Well these days I feel muck more comfortable taking on projects using a microcontroller when in the past a handful of TTL chips would have done the trick. I like the fact that you can change so much in code and your hardware doesn’t need to be touched. Travis7s demonstrates with his Ready, Set, Go! Light that 555 timers should not be discontinued quite yet. 🙂

its a good job you are doing. but i will like to enquire more on the use of 555 timer as monostable.
